Welcome to the the 3rd Season of the Paradise Island Fashion Week in Honolulu, Hawaii. This event was scheduled to take place at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Resort from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. Everything from Cocktail Hour, Vendors, Cash Bar, Appetizers and Entertainment that would have made this night one to remember has now been postponed until further notice due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus).
Dion'e Tamur'e, The Founder of this fantastic organization, was born on Oahu and raised in Las Vegas. She is passionate about helping others, which can be seen through this event as a portion of the proceeds are donated to the homeless population in Hawaii.
But life hasn't always been fashionable and glamorous for Dion'e! In 2008 she was wrongfully accused and sentenced to a 10 year prison sentence for a crime she did NOT commit. After suffering horrific abuse from another inmate, she was left in the hospital near death, then transferred 5 months later. In 2014 she was released and has since been fighting side-by-side with the innocence project, seeking justice for the horrendous crimes she'd endured.
Despite all of that, she is STILL GIVING BACK! What an absolutely incredible woman! "I just want to be able to help people because that's my heart," says Dion'e during our interview.
