"Stranger Things" on Netflix

If you're in the mood for something fun, scary and exciting, Stranger Things is a great show to watch. It explores stranger, yet interesting concepts that make it addicting to watch and keeps you on your toes as it reveals new twists and turns throughout each episode.

Stranger Things has been an instant fan favorite.

Stranger Things was released on Netflix in 2016. It has a great cast, storyline and soundtrack. The show also has a great setting as it takes place in the 1980s when there were many things happening like the Cold War and technology was advancing quickly. The show itself is full of suspense, intrigue and action that keeps viewers on their toes at all times.

Hawkins, Indiana.

Stranger Things was created, written, and directed by the Duffer Brothers. It stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown and Gaten Matarazzo as teenagers who help their friend Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) after he goes missing following a supposed supernatural event occurring in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana during the early 1980s.

The first season premiered on Netflix on July 15, 2016. On May 27, 2022 it was renewed for a fourth season and the final 2 extended episodes released on July 1, 2022.

the disappearance of Will Byers.

The show begins with the disappearance of a young boy named Will Byers. His mother and older brother are left searching for him, but nothing comes up. The police department does not have any leads on where he could be or what happened to him. He was last seen riding his bike home from school, but he never made it back to his house.

A mysterious Girl Appears.

Eleven is a mysterious girl with special powers who helps the boys find Will. She plays a huge role in the story and is easily one of the best characters to follow, especially because of her unique personality and background.

Who Is Eleven?

While her story might be sad, it's also one that's so compelling. She's one of the most exciting parts of this show because we don't know anything about her background or family or life before she meets Mike and his friends in the woods.

Eventually we find out that she was born in a laboratory called Hawkins National Laboratory, where experiments were conducted on her and other children like her. They were all kidnapped from their families at birth, then raised by scientists until they reached maturity at around 12 years old, at which point they were used for testing purposes. As the Seasons continue, Eleven forms a close relationship with the boys and with Hopper; easily one of the best characters in the show.

Eleven's telekinetic powers developed early due to exposure from high levels of radiation; however, the researchers at HNL had no idea how powerful they would become when they first brought her out into public view during an event called Project MKUltra (MKUltra was an actual CIA program that experimented with mind control).

The show also did a great job at showing how Will's disappearance affected everyone around him. The show does this by using characters from the town who have no connection to him as a way of exploring the effects of his disappearance on them and their families, including Chief Hopper's daughter, Joyce Byers' son (who goes by Mike), Steve Harrington's mother and Nancy Wheeler's parents. This allows you to see how other people were affected by Will's disappearance and gives you some context for what was going on in their lives before it happened.

The characters in this series are some of the most likable I've seen on TV in a long time. They're all so different, but they are connected by their love for each other and a strong sense of right.

Eventually we find out that Eleven channeled a huge burst of super power energy that ripped a whole in the fabric of the universe. It created a gateway to a parallel universe they refer to as "The Upside Down". There are extremely dangerous beasts that come through this gateway wreaking havoc on the lives and land of Hawkins.

It is up to Eleven to close the gate and destroy the monsters, but she can't do it without her new friends. Her love for them helps her to find the strength to close the gate and kill the monster.

Fast Forward To Season 4

Eleven goes through a grueling phase of losing her powers and eventually, with the help of PAPA, who somehow made a miraculous recovery after being attacked by the Demogorgan in Season 1. Did you think he was dead? So did we! BUT...no no no, 1980's Dr. Frankenstein was back and more creepy than usual. Using the excuse that he was just trying to protect Eleven, he shoots her with a sedative in the neck, almost dying in the process at the hands of...you guessed it, ELEVEN! Unfortunately she passed out before she got a chance to break out of the underground testing facility.

Don't worry, though, she does break out just as her friends roll up in a pizza truck to save her. Their timing is impeccable! Things aren't that easy, however, because just as they're arriving, Eleven is going head-to-head with a military chopper that shot Papa multiple times, including through the chest. We're not completely convinced Papa is really dead this time. Perhaps he'll make a comeback in the Season Finale.

In the first part of Season 4, Maxine "Max" or "Mad Max" Mayfield, played by actress Sadie Sink, was targeted by Vecna, (Jamie Campbell Bower), as his next victim. She was just barely able to escape a gruesome death by Vecna thanks to her BFFs who cleverly figured out that music could help to jolt her out of her trance and Vecna's grasp.

Then in Season 4 Part 2, in an attempt to distract and kill Vecna, Max gets caught again only this time, her arms and legs break, and she is blinded. Eleven comes in to save the day thanks to her boyfriend, Mike Wheeler, who gives her the pep-talk of the century. Thanks Mike! But oh-no! Despite their best attempts, Max dies. In a heartbreaking attempt to save her best friend, Eleven miraculously brings Max back to life, but she's left in a coma.

Max's death completes the last of four deaths which opened four gates between Hawkins and The Upside Down. We are left on a cliffhanger anxiously awaiting Season 5 to find out just what happens to Hawkins, Eleven and the rest of the Stranger Things gang.
