Talk about HOT, HOT, HOT! Actor/Producer, Diane Foster, is prevailing despite the COVID-19 Pandemic. With two short films that are tearing up the Film Festival Circuit, and bigger projects underway, she is creating a name for herself amongst her peers and other Entertainment Industry Professionals. But it is no easy feat!

"Right now, the biggest challenge is that we can't physically go to Film Festivals, and for a time, many had to cancel or reschedule," said Foster.

Thankfully, however, we have the internet and many Festival Organizers have made their screenings available virtually. But how did she get here? Where did it all begin? And what's coming next?

"Years ago, before ‘Breaking Bad’ came out, we started seeing meth labs blowing up in the midwest. My partner and I, at the time, were really dumbfounded by this and spent 3 years documenting it following a girl who'd been in a rolling meth lab".

They decided to turn her story into a documentary, which she starred in, called "Dying for Meth". The film did very well, but it was her next film that really took her career to the next level. A slasher, titled, "The Orphan Killer" gained mass attention when it was released online. It features a masked character, and me as his long lost sister. The big surprise here was that the film began to pick up traction BEFORE the film had ever been released! This was truly the result of remarkable advertising.

"When Facebook was still kind of brand-newish, we decided to post just a few images of the movie. We hit 11,000 followers before the movie came out the following month."

When they released the movie, it was available on BlueRay and DVD, but it was pirated.

"That actually worked out in our favor because all of a sudden, there were over 3 million torrents and eyeballs on our movie! Overnight, our followers shot up to half a million on Facebook and created what seemed like an underground cult film."

In fact, the film was banned in Germany and Australia because it was believed to "encourage violence". Needless to say, the film was very successful and the killer’s “mask” in this film was sold in Sears and Walmart stores.

Diane would then go on to create her own production company which she named WallyBird Productions in memory of her late brother. She works hard and is very involved in every aspect of the films she works on to ensure their success from start to finish. One of her goals is to continue to create jobs for aspiring actors and production professionals by increasing the number of films her production company releases per year.

"I'd really love to get to a point where I can continually hire a lot more people on the production side as well as personnel to help with the company as a whole."

Unlike other producers, Diane considers herself an open book and encourages actors to reach out to her if they are interested in inquiring about roles in her films.

"I'm always looking for ways to help and I understand the struggle of being an actor. When I have the chance, I'm happy to share the knowledge I've acquired over the years. That's what we're all here for, after all, to learn, to grow and to help each other."

Currently, she is working on writing three scripts for television and a feature film. Another title to her already multi-hyphenate life is Creative Director for up and coming rising star, JUNO the Artist. JUNO started out as a guitarist for famous singers Camila Cabello, Lizzo, Machine Gun Kelly, and many more, and is now branching off into her own solo career.

"WallyBird Productions has partnered with JUNO to visually bring to life her debut album, "Help is not on the Way". Together we are creating ten music videos for the entire album to be released sometime in 2021".

These two powerhouse women are working closely on yet another project as well.  After serving three hundred students worldwide over Skype and Zoom, JUNO'S successful international guitar school, aptly titled,

"JUNO'S Guitar Bootcamp", will make its debut as a Video Series. Diane and JUNO are partnering to produce this series which will grant access to top notch guitar education making it accessible to students all over the world. In addition, a scholarship fund has been put in place for 20 Black students to receive free admission to the Guitar Bootcamp program that includes free guitar lessons from JUNO and mentorship. Sponsors for the program include everyone from Superstar Camila Cabello, Diane's production house WallyBird, teachers, friends, family, and other industry professionals.

"We want to give every student the chance to participate for free, gifting education through music."

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor of the program, you can contact junosguitarbootcamp@gmail.com.

For those of you aspiring to become an actor, Diane has some great advice for you:

"It is really important for you to go to, or stay in, classes. I always say, 'take classes as much as you can'.  You have to work out your 'craft muscles' no matter what level you're at.  Whether you've been at it for a while, just starting out, or already booking jobs left and right, you still need to be in class. There are so many acting classes, which are now available online that you can access. You can also attend Zoom classes for writing scripts with Lamont Ferrell through LS Studios which I just finished and highly recommend! Consistently studying, gaining knowledge, and continued learning about yourself and what you do is so important."

Despite her busy schedule, she has made it a priority to work out daily and hone in on her craft as well. You can follow Diane on social media to keep up-to-date with her latest projects. You can also see casting notifications for WallyBird Productions on social media as well as the Breakdowns and Actor's Access.
